Really good place to stay with breakfast food available as needed. Lovely big comfy bed and the hotel is perfectly placed to access everywhere in Aberystwyth. The complimentary drinks and biscuits were delicious and thank you so much for the complimentary bottle of wine. We loved sitting in the Juliet type balcony sipping this in the evening.

We came by train but we usually come to Aberystwyth by car. If we had, we would have found parking difficult. We travel to the town several times a year because our children live there. In future, we will probably choose this hotel if we come by train but not if we come by car.

Breakfast was simply excellent and of a high quality, interesting interior to the original building, nice outdoor lawned area.

Lack of bar staff and the fact that the single barman had to leave the bar everytime a cocktail was made. 15mins to get a drink and I was next in the queue. New building is not that grand with cheap furniture in our room and a very smelly sink drain which hit us as soon as we opened the bathroom door. Old type caravans in the lawned area look nice but are full of stuff and some steps up to them look rotten.

The bathroom smelled of bad drains, no window so couldn’t get rid of it. Parking charge of £20 a night for more than 1 car. Unmanned overnight.

Location.. Described as Tewkesbury but several miles from that town and difficult to find.
