Positive section of review
The whole experience related to the accommodation was pleasant and everything was as expected. The room was spacious and it had a lovely corner couch on the window, which kept the wife very happy (bonus points for this), the breakfast was delicious and it had free parking. The host gave us a map and indication as what we should see and where the landmarks are located. One impressive thing is that, although the hotel is located next to the hospital, we did not hear any noise in the room during the night.

Short walking distance to the main beach, town centre, restaurant and shops. The cottage is well equipped with all the amenities for cooking and washing which is a plus when travelling. There’s a small nice patio at the back and a close by laundromat if you need tumble drying. Communication is really good. The property team responded quickly when we got in touch.

Parking can be an issue but with a card permit you can always find a space nearby. Mid mornings and before 5pm tend to be the best times to park outside the property.

We booked this as a gift for my in-laws. They had a wonderful time and commented on how clean the room was and how welcoming the staff were. They particularly enjoyed the home-cooked breakfast and short distance to the train station.

It was a beautiful property, with everything you could want in a home away from home - and more. There was a lovely welcome pack and the customer service was exceptional.

The parking situation was awful. It was only the fact that we had a blue badge that enabled us to park, not in our road but in the next one and even that failed us one night and it took me nearly 20 minutes of driving around until a found a space, some distance away. I only ever saw/found one vacant non-disabled space in the week we were there. If you don’t bring a car with you, this is an ideal location but not if you do.

The location and reception, restaurant staff were helpful and welcoming. The bed was clean and comfortable. A good size car park. A good area to sit outside.

The room needed upgrading, particularly the bathroom. The gentleman on the bar was surly. The calamari was greasy and the crispy duck was over fried.
