  Superb setting and views. When you got the weather and could sit outside and take it all in was magic. Lovely woodland walks to the pub, also a good walk along the shore line seeing numerous different wildlife on both.

  The hotel room was lovely - the best part of it was the balcony overlooking the race track and the room had air con which was needed given the weekend was 24Plus degrees.

  Wasn't too keen that there was no proper bathroom just one door for the shower, and another for a small toilet area. The other small issue - the hotel did not accept cash.

  Staff, position , proximity to town shops easy walk, the garden bar on the river is superb .

  The property really needs a complete makeover now , outside and in some public areas , our room in the new block overlooking the weir was generally very nice , balcony doors and window and the balcony really needs refreshing now. The food service in the garden needs a system review , ie give customers a number flag or buzzer when order drinks and food , a lot of time spent chasing around matching customers with their orders.
