The location is great, right by a bus stop, garage just round the corner, and the town centre just a few minutes walk. I stayed in a female-only dorm and it was great. Beds were fairly comfy, plenty of storage areas in cupboards and boxes under the beds. Doors to the buildings and specific dorms had keycode locks, which was handy for coming and going as you please during unstaffed hours - I happened to be doing various walks in the area so was late coming in but early to leave. Kitchen facilities were great, all you could need to prepare meals, blank labels left by the fridges so you can mark your own stuff. Drying rooms for gear too. Good value for money, was pleasantly surprised. Would stay here again if coming back to Keswick.

The only thing really was some mess in the communal dining areas / kitchens but people are supposed to clean up after themselves so not much can be done. Still fairly well kept all things considered.

The location of the room was at the rear of the premises. I checked in just after 12 midday but only to drop our bag off as we were spending time with our daughter in Tywyn. It was only when we got back to the room late evening that we realised the kitchen was at the rear and the extractors were roaring all night. We closed the window which reduced the noise but then the room got too warm. If we stayed again I would ask for a room on the front.

The lift was broken down for the 3 nights I stayed there. I had to go up and down 5 flights of stairs every time to my room. Very tiring

Where do I start?! On arrival there is no dedicated check in area, you have to go to the bar with your bags etc and then traipse through the pub to the rooms. Despite claiming to have 3 new accessible rooms built in Jan 2022 they DO NOT have anything remotely accessible friendly. When I queried this the member of staff was quite rude, snapping "no we don't do disabled, it says so on our site" - what a charmer. The room we were given was compact but serviceable, the ensuite is a cupboard with tiny corner shower in it. The biggest issue by far is the awful set up for guests after the pub closes. There is no one around after about 8pm and the way in/out of the main building? A side alley. Littered with random objects it feels like a challenge on the Krypton Factor to get luggage from your room to the car park. Don't waste your money, this place is waaaay too expensive - £125 is a joke.
