The staff were friendly & helpful. The bedroom were large, clean & comfortable. The food was excellent. Plenty of room for the dog, who was allowed in all areas.

The old adage applies, don't judge a book by its cover. The building is very "tired" & could do with money spending on it, but as a Grade 2 listed building this would make it exceedingly expensive. But if you look past the cosmetics it is a very nice, reasonably priced hotel.

Absolutely loved our stay in Rm 1 at The Wilson Arms, can't wait to re-book. Sitting outside to the rear in the vast beer garden was just wonderful.

Our room did not have subtitles on the TV, which was challenging as we are profoundly deaf. The staff kindly moved us to a different room with subtitles on the TV, but not all channels had them. All deaf individuals should have equal access to everything, just like everyone else. This includes access to education, employment opportunities, information, and any other resources or services. We won't be returning unless we have access to a TV with subtitles on all channels.
