Positive section of review
The accommodation was easy to find and there was plentiful parking (although I should have remembered not to park under a tree due to the numerous birds in it). The location next to the park was fantastic and the view overlooking it was worth the slight uplift in the room cost. The room itself was large and very comfortable. Buxton town centre was only a short walk away and the hotel was an ideal base from which to explore it. The cooked breakfast was very tasty.

The room didn't have air conditioning. This was not a problem for my stay but may be an issue for others when the weather is warmer. The access to the rooms involves walking up a winding staircase (there is no lift) - this may be an issue or those less mobile.

The card/towel system for the spa and gym doesn’t make any sense. The staff needs to go through it themselves to realise what a mess it is. Sadly the restaurant is too expensive for the quality of food and the taste.

It is very close to moorfields hospital which is why we stayed at this hotel. Very close to anywhere you wanna go just get the bus to go anywhere and the bus stops are all close by.

The bed is in the corner of the room hence who stays on the inside will have to either go first or jump over that someone that you’re with

At check in there seemed to be a lot of staff behind the desk but only one person attended guests. They gave the impression of being a bit unwelcoming.

TV and wifi worked at best intermittently. It was impossible to ignore the rumble of the underground which must pass directly under the hotel. Finally on check/out it took a month for the compulsory deposit to be released.
