The owners/neighbours gave us a very warm welcome! The kitchen was big and had all you needed to make a meal. A washing machine and coffee percolator. A lovely large garden with picknick table, a small dining room with a big tv screen and sofa. Good bedroom. 5 minutes walking to Lidl shop and train station (38 minutes journey to Cardiff Central) !

The bathroom was big with a toilet, washing table, bath and shower cubicle. For me it wasn't very practical, very small mirror and no light bulb above the washing table.

A nice old building which has been modernised. Ample parking and well kept exterior and parking. Nice little seating area to front. Friendly hosts. Decent smart TV. Modern 'boutique' styling. Although breakfast is not included there are full drinks making facilities, yogurts and pastries provided.

We stayed in room 2. It's a decent enough sized room, however the layout is totally wrong. The door into the room won't open fully as it hits the foot of the enormous stylised bed. Also, one side of the bed is so close to the outside corner of the en-suite that it's a problem getting past. A clothes rail is provided but only a single coat hanger.... The ensuite is the absolute minimum size you could fit in a shower, toilet and sink. But that means a one foot gap between the front of the toilet bowl and the radiator in front. This was made worse by the fact that the toilet seat was very loose. These two things together make it downright dangerous. Due to the toilet design it isn't possible to tighten the lid fasteners without removing the bowl from the floor. It was obvious that a previous bodge had been attempted with silicone sealant. Most of the grouting between the shower tray and tiles was missing, so water was going down there and coming out elsewhere in the room. Extractor fan not working. Looking at the marks on the ceiling from the condensed water, it's not been working for some time. Fancy mirror on the wall in the en-suite which has an inbuilt light that doesn't work. This was because it wasn't wired up and wires visibly dangling. It's on a very busy road which has traffic on it at all times so it can be a bit noisy if you want to open the windows.
