Staff were friendly, nice room, lots of stairs going up and down in all directions in little set of 3 and 4 as well as the main stairs. the river directly outside is surprisingly loud, it didn't bother me but did my partner. the cooked breakfast was lovely but don't expect too much and the cereal prior to the cooked, don't pile up your spoon or it will be gone in seconds. nice place in a nice location but will try the other accommodation across the road next time. great pub opposite.

We were met with friendly staff who booked us in quickly. The breakfast was good with a wide selection of food. Our room, although not large, was adequate for our stay.

Cosy, had every thing you would need and more. Spotless. Welcome pack even had the stove set ready to light.

The last few steps of the stairs as you go up does not have a hand rail and makes it difficult to get to the top. Same coming down. A secure handle or hand grip would make it easier and safer if put inplace. Bathroom spotless, great shower but the bathroom size is quiet tight. Especially for anyone that is big build or over weight they would have great difficulty using the loo or trying to fit between hand basin and shower. I realise they had to work with the size of the old house.

I knew I had chosen a cheap option but even at 49 quid for the night I felt ripped off. Hard to find, with poor/no communications in advance to help me get there and get in. I had to call from the road address given and found I was still nearly half a mile away. When I did get there, there was no one to assist (I did speak to another 'resident') and no instructions, so I had to call back, and even then the lights in the hallways didn't work so I couldn't see to follow the instructions I was getting over the phone to find a key to the PADLOCK (!) to my room. The room was not especially clean, poorly furnished, and generally not very nice. Main road meant the room was noisy most of the night - which I accept is not the fault of the room, but is a consequence of location. Door to the room is padlocked, and has two bolts on the inside. To be honest, I wasn't wholly sure the place was legal...
