It's very close to the town centre and not that far to the beach. The staff were very good helping us with the problems we had. Me and my twin sister loved having a studio room with a kitchen. We started our day with warm croissants and a coffee in the room. Then we went to The John Logie Baird Weatherspoons, which is only a few doors down from the hotel and had pancakes and lattes. The bathroom and shower were great. After a few hicups at the beginning, our stay was very great. Having a lift there was very helpful because I have osteoarthritis and can't do stairs very well.

The first thing we noticed was the non city view that i had read about. We looked out onto the backs of shops and garages. While taking in the disappointing view, the very big windowsill had dust all over. I went to put my case beside the wardrobe, and the corners hadn't been hoovered in a while. The light shades were very dusty, I couldn't help but notice because I was admiring the tall ceilings. Now, onto the comfy bed. We checked the bed to see how comfy it was and sank into the mattress, but not in the good way. When we checked it, the mattress was very old and had hardly any stuffing left on the top, so they had put two mattress toppers on and they too were old looking., but they just sank into the mattress. We went to the reception on our way out, and told them about the bed and also that we couldn't turn on the microwave.. The man was very apologetic and said he would talk to someone about changing rooms. But once we returned, they had put a brand new mattress on the bed instead of having to change rooms. The mattress was very comfortable, and the microwave now had power to it. They could also do with putting mats and a grab rail in the shower cubicle because my sister and I nearly fell in the shower.

The biggest plus is the drive way with parking. This house itself is fantastic, The lounge with reclining leather seating with sky tv, the large kitchen which was fully equipped also the very large conservatory with another sky TV box. The bedrooms were all very spacious and the beds comfortable very close to local shops too

There was a strange smell from one of the en-suites when we arrived. After as quick call Kells and James arrived and sorted the problem! Superb service! They were very friendly and professional and acted like it was actually no bother at all!

It was dark and had a musky smell throughout, needed some airing out, the shower had mould residue. Multiple communication needed to confirm access and how to gain entry.
