The place was excellent!! I met and worked with the owner and he was very helpful, courteous and knew his stuff. I had my own bathroom which was nice and the morning breakfast was quite tasty. It is an older building but that only helps the experience. If I go back, this place will be on my list of possibilities to stay.

The breakfasts were very good. The towels were nice and large and white and fluffy. The bed was a good size and the room size was also fairly large. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The windows opened for a bit of fresh air.

The evening meals could have been better, some were ok but others were not very nice. The room furniture was a bit squashed in as the room was a funny shape in places (room 117). A bit more wardrobe space would have been good. Instructions on using the phone and TV would have been handy. There was no food available between breakfast and dinner apart from a few snacks like crisps and chocolate.

Everything was wonderful, great location. We stayed in the apartment under the stairs, there wasn't any problem, the room had enough light. Equipment was also perfect, umbrellas available for us.

The location of the property is useful and the price is cheaper than others that are of a similar size.

The tired front door is a puzzle to open when you arrive which sets the tone. The bed sheets were filthy with hairs and blood stains, these were changed when brought to the attention of the owner but being greeted with them was unacceptable. The staff had accused our guys that stayed of removing a smoke alarm, neither of the two staying at the time smoke or even vape, so what purpose would that serve? The staff then accused our guys of breaking a shower head in a bathroom without a shower screen/curtain or even an extract fan, on a shower which doesn’t work. Left a really sour taste, this is the first time we have ever had to leave negative feedback on a property and we have been staying all over the country for different jobs for a number of years. Avoid at all costs.

The room was too warm there was a fan provided but this did not help to cool the room down, ideally if having a room with no windows the hotel needs to have air conditioning in the rooms
