The keys were left in the door, very easy and hassle free! The property itself was STUNNING, a home from home! You can see the love that’s gone into restoring it. We really didn’t want to leave, it’s been in my mind ever since I left and I miss it terribly now! Janice was an angel, she left us the nicest welcome hamper with the tastiest hand made Welsh cakes. If I could move in here tomorrow I would! See you again soon xxx

A little worn-out but well complemented by the boutique charm and the fine small touches. The bed was very comfortable. Choices of soft and firm pillows.The coffee in the room was surprisingly good! The staff were wonderful and breakfast was huge.

The bed with pillow and blanket were really comfortable. The guys in the reception were nice. You can have a pretty good breakfast with coffee or tea for just 3£. The location is very good, the tube is close. I really enjoyed this stay.

Breakfast was excellent. The accommodation was excellent. I appreciated the little touches such as cake, teapot and a fridge in our room. Our hostess could not be bettered. Very friendly and helpful.

A lot of partying and drinking in the property during our stay, very loud neighbours, partying until 1-2AM, it says quiet time between 10-8AM but nobody seems to respect it.

We did book a double room with sea view where it was advertised as 305 sq feet. But instead we got a room of box size with a restricted height(see photo). The room is very narrow and congested. Lacks ventilation. The room smells damp smell from the carpets may be or from lack of ventilation and air flow. Even after keeping the window open for an hour, the room still smells damp. The bathroom is a disaster. The bath tub is not cleaned at all. We can see stains, dirt and hair all over the tub. The sink has hot and cold taps miles apart and I'm not sure how anyone can use it. The dinner at the restaurant is again a disappointment. We asked for a table by the window but couldn't get it even though the tables are empty. What's the point of having a hotel at great view but won't let people enjoy it. We were being told that they keep shuffling up the tables between dinner and breakfast and we might get the table by the window for breakfast. We ordered food and only received it almost 45min later. The food(fish and chips) was cold when we received it. Even the chips/French fries are cold. The fish is also not cooked properly and chewy. Breakfast is also not so great and didn't taste better.

Staff was ok, but not really helpful tbh. Stair carpets and banisters leading to rooms was dirty (banisters look like it had dried blood on) When got into room. It was absolutely tiny, and as far as the “bath and shower” goes you just get a small shower in what looks like to be an old cupboard 🙈, noticed what looked like old blood stains on the pillow cases. So messaged the hotel via booking.com (we had to go out and no one was at reception upon leaving) but had no response…. Got back to room and it was exactly how we left it🤷♂️ Tv in the room was absolutely tiny could hardly see it. Don’t know what it was just there was a weird feeling in that “hotel” where it just didn’t feel safe at all. Didn’t even stay the night, checked in around 3-4 ended up checking out at 9pm same night. And drove 2 hours back home. Assuming it was the owner just said “oh your not staying the night” and I explained and all he said was “oh ok” not even an apology. Don’t think he’s ever had Anyone book but not stay the night. After complaining about the room. Honestly avoid this “hotel” at all costs
