The hotel was not expensive and was in a decent position in Coldstream. The room was basic but reasonably comfortable. Some of the bathroom fittings could have done with being replaced/upgraded. Don't leave the window open at night! The traffic outside is very noisy - we closed the window on our second night and it was fine! The owner and his wife were lovely and a) made us feel very welcome; and b) prepared good food - both breakfast and dinner.

My husband and I stayed in a suite, everything was fantastic, it was spacious, comfortable, clean, friendly helpful staff and as I use a mobility scooter every thing and everyone was very very helpful and cheerful. breakfast was delicious also this venue has a lunch and dinner menu and the room service menu was very reasonable and great choice and value

Breakfast was cooked to order with good quality ingredients. The staff were very professional, friendly and efficient. Pleasant relaxed atmosphere, beautiful surroundings. Decor modern and fresh. Bed very comfortable and fantastic bathroom. Great location for exploring Derbyshire Dales. There is a micro brewery adjacent to the hotel for added interest.

Minor issue - hotel check-in is at the food order point in the bar but signage doesn't indicate this. We arrived during dinner serivice so staff were bringing out food and we were causing an obstruction!

Great location, everything within walking distance, nice old building, staff were really helpful and friendly and the cooked breakfast was brilliant. Orders taken at your table and cooked fresh. Best breakfast we have had for a long time at a hotel. Definitely stay again.

The shower in our bathroom didn’t wasn’t very good. Hard to regulate the temperature. Other than that nothing else to comment on. All good

We stayed in the motel part, it was great for our needs, like a small apartment, good facilities, excellent location. It was clean and in good condition. The staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful. We would have happily stayed longer!

Bathroom too hot and had no extractor fan or AC not working there. I asked about it 3 times but ? Nothing was done. Also a hard copy of a shortened welcome pack would be better than on screen or TV only.
