We were visiting the arena so the location was excellent. The hotel is set in a quiet area with no street noise during our stay (Friday night). The reception staff were really welcoming and the public areas of the hotel were well presented. Complimentary drinks vouchers and a surprise cake in our room for my husbands birthday was a lovely surprise. Our room was comfortable and clean, well decorated and had everything we needed for our stay - nice toiletries, fridge with bottled water, tea/coffee, ironing board if you need it. Breakfast was really nice with a wide range of choices and fully stocked. We really enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

We were contacted before our stay with details of the hotel car park and one next door. The hotel car park was priced 'from £22`. It's managed by Just Park and was showing as nearly £34 to prebook. The Q park next door was full so we had to search around. We found a one 5 mins walk away for £9 so a happy ending for us but it would be better if the hotel parking was a standard rate and not extortionate. The bed was creaky as other reviews stated though it was comfortable to sleep on. We had a desk chair in our room that was faulty and sunk every time you sat on it, though not a big issue for us.

The cottage is so cute, just perfect. There was so much character to this property. The stairs and the loft room made it feel like a real adventure of a stay. Beautifully renovated so it has all the modern ease, but without taking away from the charm of the old building. Loved the location, so nice to wander to the cute shops, bars abs restaurants of the town. Coming back to the quaint little cottage street was a treat each time, felt like something out of an old English tv show.

The cleanliness there wasn't good very dusty ,smelled of dog , and very outdated we had a trouble with the WiFi only 2 green lights on monitor not 3 which we tried speaking to owner about who laughed at us told us we did something and the internet had nothing to do with that it was a code we had to put in which we aren't stupid we tried doing that and the code didn't work . He basically said we must be wrong as the previous guests used it . Every sky router has 3 green lights the code is a password which his words he didn't understand what we were on about . We found we wasn't able to fully relax there due to feeling like we wasn't welcome there . The guest book all thanked owners for welcome box which we didn't have either we went out and bought toilets rolls which we left there as none was supplied either
