Was there for a family wedding and booked to stay the night, was a beautiful place unfortunately didn't get to use spa. Decor downstairs was lovely as were the grounds. Food was de-lic-ious. Room was clean and bed was comfy. When opened curtains in the morning got a bit more than I bargained for, could see a gentleman across from us in his bathroom(thank goodness for the frosted window 🫣)

Upstairs was a bit of a letdown, decor was old and tired compared to downstairs. There were no sockets near bed for phone charger(was one but couldn't fit any plugs into it?) Had to do hair over by the TV. On another note, access for wheelchair users going to function room upstairs was a BIG let down, the lift used outside for them needs to be upgraded ASAP. Very unsafe for all involved (employees/guests) especially when it's been raining.

The room and en-suite facilities were great. The location of the hotel meant there was minimal noise interference for my stay as external noise can affect my sleeping enjoyment in hotels. I also enjoyed a tasty evening meal in their restaurant.

When I went down for breakfast, the eating area was locked in the morning (but someone was there after 9am).

Room was comfortable..window opened.. Decor very different..yes old fashioned ..but not a problem at my age..hotel very quite..did not see a single soul during my stay..staff or customer.. nice in a strange way..I was room only

Although the apartment was reasonably clean, cutlery and glasses needed a good wash before we used them. Dishwasher stank when I opened the door so did not use it Balcony could have done with a good clean The derelict apartment blocks to the side and rear were very grim

Sticky tables everywhere (typical of a lot of places nowadays - not sure if its cleaning products reacting with the varnish or something else). No table cloths for dining.

I didnt like the very thin connecting door which looked like it was locked only with a hook bolt usually seen in garden gates. The door also had damage consistent with some previously having tried to kick the door in from the other side. There didnt seem to be any sound proofing and the walls seemed thinner than in an actual home. I had my TV on turned up to the maximum volume of 23 and could still the man next door talking on his phone. I could still hear him and his entire conversation as clearly as though he was in the same room as me. The bedding was dirty with what looked like someone else makeup and there were stains on the carpet but also chunks of food where it had not been hoovered since the last person.

There were set of rules in the room, which asked to be quiet, but next room in same flat always made to much noise after 10pm
