Geoff, the host made us feel very welcome, like staying with friends. Although there are no breakfast facilities on site, there is a great cafe next door, another 2 mins away, and a whole host of places to eat in the city itself. The buses run very frequently, although it's only a short walk along the river to get to the city. All in all I would highly recommend a stay at Holly Lodge if you are looking for a base for a city exploration. 😀

The view from the yurt is amazing and the position is perfect to explore the area. There is everything you need from a weekend away and the log burner provided some much needed heat when the temperature drops at night. Water was really hot and more than enough for shower and dishes. The owner was so kind to lend me an hairdryer after I forgot mine.

The driveaway is very steep, so keep it in mind if you are planning to do some hiking. There is no cover over the yurt entrance for when it rains

Was told by your company that it was pay on arrival but the site rang to say they needed payment 2 days before or no booking, the farm does not do pay on arrival as booking .com stated. If I had been at work and unable to pay there would have been no accommodation. Very poor information

Perfect rural location with stunning views from bedrooms and beer garden. The rooms were well decorated and very clean. Breakfast included was lovely too so overall good value for money.

It was a shame that food wasn’t available during the afternoon due to some technical issues. Also have never seen such queues in a country pub during the weekend.

Great hotel, booked a twin room by accident, staff was so helpful in getting that changed to a double. Room was clean , breakfast great, easy parking,will definitely be back

The dark green in the room made it feel very dark and dated, the bed was very uncomfortable and the door in the room that leads to another room was horrendous, could hear every conversation and movement from the room next door making you feel like you had no privacy
