The hotel was whatever you wanted, peaceful, friendly, lively bar and bistro, and the gardens were a pleasant retreat. The views from my room were spectacular, and the room was clean and comfortable. I would certainly return.

Single bed was good value for a solo traveller. Breakfast was included and delicious. All the staff were super friendly and welcoming! Location was not super central but not super far out either.

The property is lovely, very spacious! Plenty towels etc and very clean! Brilliant that cot, highchair and kids plates etc are available.

Things needing updating - shower room was out of order and decking is starting to rot - one hole already at the side of the steps. No huge issues just not ideal when there with kids and people with poor mobility.

Have stayed at quite a few YHAs and this was the most disappointing experience so far. When we arrived they said we had cancelled our booking, which we had not. They were able to sort us out, but not ideal. Our room was right next to the toilets and the doors were slamming all night and all morning as people were using them - got very little sleep. The kitchen was dirty and the common room was heaving and super loud well into the evening. For a room that cost almost £100, it was of poor standard.

Bathrooms were on different floors not en suites and the downstairs bathroom appeared to have a drainage issue which caused the water to overflow.
