The property is situated perfectly between Stromness and Kirkwall. Like a studio and absolutely perfect . Fantastic shower , plenty soft and squishy towels and comfy bed . Lovely and clean . Great cooking facilities air fryer etc It’s just perfect and we will be back next year

The staff were really helpful, allowing a slightly earlier check in at no cost, the breakfast was delicious and the bed was extremely comfy. Highly recommended for stays in Newry.

It's a bit of a long walk from the centre but they can't change that and also recommended a good taxi service so not a bad thing at all.

Our 2nd stay in apartment 23 was as good as last time and as good as the other apartments at the Lawrence that we have used in the past. Always a winner.

1. Lack of bar service. The bar man had to leave the bar to serve people in other rooms and clear tables. 2 The missing door handle inside the lift to leave the swimming pool meant that my husband who has restricted mobility was unable to get out of the lift until I went down via the stairs to open the lift from the outside as there was no help request button.

Location was very convenient to everything. Room was sufficient but small for 2 people with suitcases.

There was no phone in the room which seemed unsafe. A lock up box or safe would be helpful to put valuables which is standard in most hotels I've been to. We also couldn't work out how to organise room service.

The location to town was good.

The location of the property was in a dark hole, which meant it was damp and smelt. Also, patchy access to TV channels. Kitchen floors were so sticky that we didn't want to take our shoes off. Our biggest issue was we booked this as a one bedroom apartment (as advertised and photos suggested it was), and it was a studio.
