The room was quite big and well equipped, the bed was comfy. There was a fridge with extra water and a microwave for the lazy traveler who doesn't want to go out for diner. Breakfast was continental, toast, jams, croissants, coffee and tea were abundant. The manager was very nice and gave lots of tips on what to do, where to eat, etc. We stayed there because it was somewhat close to the Warner Brothers Studio shuttle (25 min walk, or take a bus).

We stayed in Whitehaven to attend the Whitehaven Rugby league game so the Mansion was in a perfect position. |We also visited St Bees, Ravenglass and the Whitehaven harbourside so an excellent location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The fact I was able to have a swim each day in the pool was an added bonus

The manager gave me an upgrade when someone else wanted to continue to stay in my room. Facilities and location were excellent. There was also well thought out directions provided on local walks that I would have loved to do.

LOCATION!!! So close to underground and the main st with restaurants, pubs and stores. Staff were super lovely and the room was clean and well appointed.

The breakfast provided was generous and varied. We slept well due in no small part to the very comfortable bed. We were also made to feel most welcome,

The TV was positioned to the right of the bed making for difficult viewing.and The room was a little chilly and could have done with some heating to take the chill off.

The RV was really dirty and badly appointed. Example; there were crumbs and a dirty floor, the fridge was filthy, a cat kept coming in and getting on the beds; we were told this was a farm cat, no idea if it had been treated for fleas. The hot and cold tap indicators had been switched over on the taps in the shower, so we were waiting and waiting for the 'hot' to warm up and it was freezing cold - cue cold showers all around. Every cupboard I opened was full of random stuff, it was as if we'd paid £159 (including hot tub) to sleep in the hosts over flow storage area. In terms of cutlery there was a plastic bag containing about 14 spoons, 1 knife, 1 fork. The mugs were dirty and chipped. There were signs everywhere advising us not to drink water from the taps but no warning of this in the booking correspondence and no alternative provided. In terms of 'luxury' RV I'm baffled as to what the luxury element of the experience was meant to be; it even basic done well.

I mean where do I start from people shouting at 2am and banging on doors to the owner and his partner or whatever she was to him shouting and the police turning up I only stayed one night even tho I paid for two because the first night was that bad. Also the room was dirty owner did a proper landlord job of cheap bodge jobs honestly it’s cheap £45 a night but seriously spend the extra it’s just not worth the headache they also charged £10 a night parking cash but Yh I will wait for my refund if they give it
