For all those of you who want to have a taste of a people-first approach again, be sure to book a night’s stay at Louise’s. Despite her busy working schedule, she manages to make you feel straight at home. You have to love animals because there’s an incredibly cute dog (that doesn’t bark or jump), and a young cat called Chris. But their presence only adds to the homely feel. The room is clean and nicely decorated, the bed large enough to enjoy a good night’s sleep with your partner, or indeed on your own because the fee you pay here is reasonable fair (unless you’re on a very small budget). The bathroom is spotless, newly installed and you can also make use of other facilities (the kitchen) when Louise’s not around. Well done Louise. Thank you for having us. most of. the hotel staff were lovely and really friendly and very welcoming. the room was very clean. Breakfast the first day was a little disapointing it was not explained very well and we didnt really read the menu properly so the choice of buffet was not up to much but maybe our fault for not reading properly. breakfast the second morning was so much better the staff sorted a table for ten of us so that we could all sit together. They explained everything to us that If we wanted fruit and meat platters or anything that was not out on the breakfast bar were made to order and i must say what a difference to our first day breakfast. the food was 100%.

Great location, easy to walk around town but also good transport links to tube/bus/trains. Very comfortable room and lovely bathroom. Staff were friendly and efficient despite being constantly busy. Will stay again.

It was comfortable to stay for one night during our UK road trip. Staff was caring and responsive, fixed the lamp in the toilet right away and let us park our car event after check out for few hours.

I can’t believe the price I paid to sleep in a basement with no windows, with a pump wc and right by a dodgy alley. Also I didn’t like that the pictures were misleading. There was snot on one of the towels and the toiletries were four small tubes of very cheap soap.
