Spotlessly clean, beautiful huge rooms, every appliance possible in kitchen including coffee pods, dishwasher tablets and sachets of tea ,coffee etc. Host even made a ramp for my Dad who's 98. Lovely little garden, toys for children and loads of towels and spare bedding

The location and building itself was stunning, and the staff were helpful. The food was excellent and breakfast was divine!

The TV didn't work, after 20 minutes of trying, two members of staff failed to get it tuned in too so we gave up. The room was quite small. The decor was an odd mix of correct old furnishings with some "naff" items thrown in, which somewhat let it down. The curtains were awful, cheap, thin voile like fabric, it really needs thick, heavy drapes. The bedside table in our twin room was very small, I would strongly suggest they put one on the other side of the bed nearest the wall, there is simple space to do so. The bathroom only had one off white hand towel, there should always be two.

Nothing. The owner did not answer phone call or texts to give me the full address

I made the booking at about 9pm through booking.Com. Latest check in time was 11pm. I phoned the owner and sent a text but got no reply. I followed the direction from booking.com which took me to Lancaster Close, DA10 but did not give me the house number. It was now about 10pm. I tried several more phone calls and texts but received no reply. I called booking.com who asked me to wait 30 minutes for them to contact the owner. I eventually got an email 5.30am the following day saying that the owner had cancelled the booking and that I would get a refund. Not a happy bunny at all

I was a bit miffed to have to pay for parking. Not very much but I don't recall it on Booking.com. Sadly, it seems to be the lates way for hotels to gouge a bit more from their customers
