The communication was excellent from before, during and also after our stay. The owner was very accommodating, worked with us for arrival times and showed us where we could park. He went out during our stay and got us some things that were missing from the room. The owner also left us some complimentary bits and pieces. He was friendly and showed us around and let us know where everything was. He also advised afterwards that he had properties elsewhere we might be interested in staying in. He was nice and chatty and held a little conversation with us too. Great value for money and would definitely stay again.

The schoolhouse was absolutely beautiful, the kids did not want to leave! So much so that we booked another night! Kitchen very well equipped enough utensils to easily cater for 2 adults and 5 kids with no stress. So dog friendly and with a large front garden and a very sunny weekend the dogs, adults and kids had a very chilled and relaxed time just sitting in the garden enjoying the space. House is large with plenty space and lovely log fire in the living room. Plenty large cosy towels, beds were super comfy, overall an amazing stay 😀

I was met at the door, my bicycle whisked to a secure storage, and given great local information re: eating and shopping. The room was well apportioned and the shower excellent . Breakfast was both tasty and enormous. I felt very welcome and would certainly stay again.

It's on a bus route and makes sense other than that you're only able to use expensive taxi out of the hotel to other places as Uber will never come. The front desk staff are very nice, welcoming and problem solvers.

We were misled by Bookings.com. There was a mismatch between the room names and the corresponding pictures of the room on Bookings.com. The nice pictures displayed for the superior room which we booked was that of executive double room so we ended up in a not so nice room than what we saw online and were looking forward to. Unfortunately all executive rooms were booked out and our booking couldn't be upgraded for any fee at all. I lodged a complaint to bookings.com immediately I found out but I doubt they will ever do anything about it.

Beautiful historique building. Beautiful view. Overall, not bad it is worth it for a night as an experience. Heard great things about the food but did not try the restaurant will do another time.

Rooms would benefit upgrading (old bathroom with no window). Beds are good, but pillows are like bricks. The hotel bar had a strange smell and could be aired. Staff at reception in the afternoon was not very smiley, but the rest of them are quite nice and helpful.

Requested a room with bathroom. This was confirmed but when we checked in the room was a dingy room with no view and a shower which was very difficult to access. The tv was the size of my iPad and didn’t work. The water was cold and took about 15 minutes to warm up. Jodie at reception was fantastic but as the hotel was full she was unable to offer us an alternative. We decided to spend the one night and seek other accommodation elsewhere. We ate supper there and the less said about the cuisine the better.
