The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Friendliness of staff. Food in restaurant was lovely and chef easily adapted food to our gluten free requirements (always a bonus). Views from our room lovely. Quiet location. Very good sleep quality. Oh and the room had a bath another bonus with plentiful hot water.

Do not stay in this facility under any circumstances! Please don't repeat my mistake as I feel ripped off from an ad for a "luxury" accommodation that was the worst place I have ever stayed at.

The biggest scam about it is that the house doesn't have 3 bedrooms, but 2. The third place to sleep is in the kitchen on a sofa, which is not a bed, but the host instructs you to inflate a plastic air bag yourself and use the bedding to make a bed in the kitchen. There is only 1 shower for the whole house, the bathtub from the picture is unusable for quick cleaning because it does not have a shower. As soon as you turn on the water, a loud pump or similar device is turned on, which hums throughout the house. In addition to the lack of utensils (the kitchen cupboards are full of repair tools) there is not a single dish in the house for preparing meals. On the picture there is only pan in the whole house, burnt of course. Wi-fi doesn't work. The walls are full of moisture and with a bunch of scented sticks placed around the house, the air is terribly smelly. The garden is full of animal droppings and it is impossible to use the garden. There are no wardrobes in the rooms (everything is locked), and in the kitchen, where sleeping on an air cushion is assumed, there is not a single surface for storing clothes. The host requires you to pay him an extremely high deposit as a condition to leave the keys to you, after you have paid the full price of the accommodation. The neighbourhood where the house is located is dark and suspicious, the house is at the end of a dark street next to the railway. After a bad experience staying in the house, I looked in detail at the reviews that gave it a high rating - they were all left from the UK without argument with a rating of 10, which is very suspicious. Please don't repeat my mistake as I feel ripped off from an ad for a "luxury" accommodation that was the worst I have ever stayed at.

The staff at the front desk was very polite. The easy access coming & going into the hotel was nice. About 2 or so miles to the river with the attractions.

The room was small with a angled ceiling, but it is Europe. I couldn't really complain 🤷🏾

Toilets were clean as reading all the reviews I was nervous but turned out good !!! Location is on point where the hotel is too old building !

The room was equipped ok - comfortable bed, reasonable size.....similarly for the shower room

We arrived to find a notice on the reception door telling all that day's guests their rooms....which had the keys in the doors..... We got to our room to find it already occupied by some of a group of Bikers... perfectly nice people but it had been "used". I note an earlier "complaint" on this site about exactly the same occurrence so it seems "normal" procedure? As the room unoccupied by the bikers was a double and we wanted a twin and there was no receptionist who might or might not appear we felt we had to take the already occupied twin room - the towels didn't seem used and the bed hadn't been opened ...though some of the breakfast "goodies" had been used and there was by now rubbish in the bins.... NOT a pristine room!! When the reception DID arrive they made absolutely NO attempt to see how we were or give the room a quick clean. The rooms are very close to the outside courtyard and get noise from anyone passing by or talking outside. The only way of stopping people looking in (even inadvertently) is to pull the curtains. The so-called "free" breakfast of packet croissants, a pot of cereal etc is very poor and should be discounted in your value consideration when deciding whether to stay or not

I stayed with my dog so we could exercise on the racecourse - it was lovely.

The bar & restaurant were ok. The room was clean
Negative section of review
The room was small, & the bed was very hard. The staff were pleasant enough, although seemingly under a lot of pressure. They were also very vocal about how tough it was amongst each other, which wasn't appropriate around guests

Good location. Ample parking.

Impersonal (we met nobody in 3 days except the very nice lady who served breakfast). Arts & Crafts building very nice superficially, but dour & dark inside. Room (No 5) quite small and dark, bathroom tiny & dirty in many areas - how does this merit 'Superior' definition & price tag to match (>£130/nt)

All guests having to show photo I.d. on arrival. Of the three single beds 2 okay, 1 wouldn't even ask my dog to sleep on it, just covered springs. No other parking available nearby so hostage to the £15 per night parking charge.
