Positive section of review
The breakfast was fine but nothing special. A little difficult to find in the midst of a tiny Cotswold town, off the main through road as priorities in the town had changed. Would benefit from a sign from the main road through Blockley a very old town. An interesting hotel to stay in.

The shower didn't work although the bath was good. Suggests better checking by management of facilities.

The accommodation was easy to find. The pictures from the host helped. 24-hour shop and Sainsburys within easy walking distance. The apartment is large enough to host 6-people without feeling crammed. Bed were comfortable. The showers were powerful and remained hot.

I had to contact the host to get the details of the accommodation. They were not forthcoming. The lockbox code given was incorrect. But through trial and error we figured it out for ourselves. The television was broken and did not work.

The location was great with a 15 minute walk to all Yorks attractions. We were able to park right outside the hotel for £10 for two nights or were given the option of free parking round the corner. The manager was very friendly and helpful.

The rooms were very dated and the shower had poor pressure. We were in a downstairs room which was very noisy, people coming in kept me awake with the front door shutting. We also had a lot of outside noise from a sports bar a few doors away during Sat night.

Location was good for us as not far off our route up to Scotland.

Sofa bed in living room was very hard and uncomfortable. Difficult job trying to get the damage deposit and access sorted for our stay, I feel like I had to contact them regarding this and chase it up. Took over 3 weeks to receive the deposit back which is unacceptable.

Being partly disabled the stairs without a hand rail was a challenge and there were was no hand hold in the shower.

Not very clean, cooker tripped the power. Whilst there is a hob, there were no cooking utensils. Had to go and buy some haha. Also didn't like some guy turning up at night trying to open the door as he thought he was still staying there. Asked if his stuff was still in the room. No it was not, poor guy and a bit intimidating for my partner and I.
