Everything, from the little touches of milk and fruit and cookies basket to the spectacular view. The beds were super comfy and huge for both of us to have a bed each. The property is a home from home environment, I would recommend this to anyone, especially if you want just animal and bird noises. Ali was so welcoming and such a lovely host.

Nothing - it was a perfect stay for us and wouldn’t hesitate to rebook!

Beautiful B&B at a great location. Nice rooms, we had a very nice dinner and the town and its surroundings are great. And it makes a lovely stop between Edinburgh and Skye. Also a shout out for the bakery just across from the Inn's entrance.

Nothing comes to mind. It feels more like a "boutique hotel" than your typical B&B, but still very nice.

In a great location on the Cape Cornwall Road. We had no difficulties parking. Facilities very good. The private courtyard garden was excellent as was the washing machine and dryer.

Premises not really suited to someone of my height (6'03"). The bed was comfortable but it's very small, my feet stuck out the bottom. Staircase again very tight for someone of my height. I hit my head three times on the door between the bedroom and the courtyard. We couldn't log into the TV in the main room on our own accounts, fortunately we had a laptop with us and were able to log in on that.

The bathroom was spacious and the bed was quite comfortable. Located quite close to underground and some nice pubs nearby.

We had a very good stay at Montcalm back in 2019, staff were exceptionally friendly back then and made our stay very special, more so that it had been a celebratory weekend. Therefore, we returned, but things had definitely changed. I e-mailed the property in advance, informing them we were staying for an occasion, and whether they could add some small special touches. I heard nothing back. The first room we were given had paint peeling all around the ceiling, there was a scrunched up coaster on the bedside table, one of the lights in the bathroom was broken. It seemed to be (or have been) an accessible room, so it was spacious, but there was a post/column right in the middle of the room , again paint peeling off, which just made the room look even worse. I asked us to be moved to another room, and of the choice we were given, the one we picked was ok. Although it was a "suite" room, which meant the other room was separated only by connecting door so we could hear the conversation on the other side into early hours. Also the TV was very old and no options to connect to Netflix or any other apps. The staff were polite but didn't excel. All in all, a rather disappointing stay, and we would not return.

The location was very convenient

This is possibly the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve travelled a lot in Japan who I thought had the running in small rooms. Anyone with a BMI over 25 would struggle and significant agility was required to manoeuvre around the room due to how close everything was to the walls and other items of furniture. I couldn’t get to the bathroom without knocking my husband’s feet which hung over the end of the bed.

Staff was lovely

There were 3 x dead daddy long legs on the walls, and smeared blood on the wall above the sink. The cleaners are awful at their job, and need retraining.
