The location was ideal for a weekend at the NEC. The premises are lovely and impeccably clean, we didn't have time to relax in the grounds which are great, enough space for children to runabout and explore too. We gave our breakfast orders and specified time before bed and the excellent breakfasts are cooked to order, generous and delicious. The village is within walking distance with two great pubs, a village pond, green two grocery stores and a chemist. The guest house has secure parking with electric gates which work on a key fob.

Hotel was clean and had everything you could need - fridge, microwave, ironing board, hairdryer, even a heated towel rail. The man on reception was really friendly and was able to have a joke with him which was nice rather than everything being really serious. Great location if you have something on at the hospital, and in close proximity to a pub. Nice view of the waterside also.

The walls were quite thin and I heard a lot of noise from the corridor when people walked past. A bottle of water in the fridge could have been a nice touch. Also, there was no option of switching on JUST the bedside lamp, the switch turned on all of the lights. Travelling alone I wanted to have a small lamp on overnight but this wasn’t possible without the whole room being lit up.

Check in is possible from 3 pm and unfortunately not earlier. But they state it in booking so it was my fault that I hoped I could check in earlier.

£12 to park for 10 hours, woken up at 8am by some random exercise class flipping tyres. Not what you want after a late night drive

Bed and pillows too hard, cobwebs on the lampshade, sticky shelf, only one bath towel the others were hand towels. Breakfast plenty of choice but cold and NO WiFi, so had to use another hotel to print boarding passes. Staff not very helpful.
