The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The location was very good, five minute walk to Brodick beach. The grounds were absolutely stunning with beautiful flowers & trees and with a view of Goatfell. I came down with heat exhaustion half way through my stay and the owner drove me over to the hospital at the end of her shift, she was very attentive and went over and above to help me when I needed help the most. The owners were great, very friendly and helpful. The food was good, including the breakfasts which was really lovely , can't fault them, the beer/drink selection was good too.

When I first arrived two of the younger bar staff were arguing in front of the customers, that was pretty unprofessional and generally their customer service didn't come across as particularly genuine and there was some strange tension when interacting with them. I think they need some more training on how to interact with customers without coming across rude/abrupt/unfriendly. The bed in room 8 was a definite issue for me despite it being dressed very nicely, It sloped badly towards the door, possibly because the actual room sloped as it was an auld historic building with some subsidence over the yrs which is normal of course, not sure but I could feel it slope and it was really difficult to find an angle to sleep at that felt balanced, so sleep was severely limited. The room although small had everything I needed but to improve things for future guests the bed could be made level by proping up the feet nearest the door until the mattress becomes level.

This hotel is always clean, with friendly and helpful staff. I have stayed here a few times for work and I believe it's one of the best value for money hotels in the area. Bedrooms are basic but clean and well presented. Less than 5 mins walk from the tube - really convenient location

Everything! Location, design, quality, utility, comfort, toiletries, character and owner engagement. A really nice touch to find a bottle of wine and pint of milk in the fridge 😁. The Bath Park and Ride service stops about 200m from the property, so no city parking issues.

Stayed at this venue as attended a wedding at Millbridge Court. Very comfortable and large room, good breakfast, convenient location, super clean & quiet. Stayed in Farnham House hotel the night before & this hotel was way better.

Couldn't get an Uber at all - pre-book taxi's if needed for the evening

The hotel is in a great location, easy walking distance from the centre. The price is very reasonable and the breakfast was acceptable. Beds are comfortable.

I have stayed here twice now and, it has to be said, the staff aren't very welcoming. Reception staff are blunt and unfriendly. The staff at breakfast ignore you unless you go out of your way to engage them

All good for my sunny weekend trip by public transport trains and bus.

The day before the stay the venue emailed asking for images of all occupants' passports to be uploaded. I challenged the requirement of this under GDPR and personal data and after a few messages back and forth a colleague for the venue confirmed an edited image with just the name and date of birth visible. This was completed and the password to access the document was sent to the venue. The following day we arrived early at the location. We struggled to find it but found what we could only assume to be the property (which does not match the pictures of the exterior!). As we were not sure, we headed to get a coffee and rang the venue to check we were in the right place, they confirmed we were but they were having issues accessing the ID documents so these needed to be reuploaded - I would like to outline they made no contact with me to request this and it was only a bi-product of calling them about the location that this was raised. We completed the reupload to then be emailed to say this was not acceptable due to needing a picture included in the upload (despite the previous day's communication only outlining DOB and name). We completed this and reuploaded the documents. A short while later the venue messaged asking for a damage deposit to be paid. I called them to inform them that the visit was for the Marathon and as a result, I had minimal belongings with me and did not have my purse. After some discussion with the customer service operative, I was called a liar and in summary, it was tough - they then told me they were done talking with me and hung up. In summary, as a result, I had nowhere to stay and had paid for the venue hire in full. For a few quid extra you can stay at a hotel without the hassle! I have tried to raise a complaint with the venue based on the treatment from customer service and the poor policy which resulted in the situation. This has not been supported and the request for an investigation into this has been refused.
