We stayed here at short notice due to another location cancelling our reservation at the last minute (Boutique Nights - don't book it). As a result this was not our preferred location or hotel type. That said, the hotel is right on the sea front by the pier, the room was clean, the staff were friendly and very helpful. We booked a small double room as we only needed somewhere to sleep. The room was made up for one person but we were two, so we had to ask for extra towels, mugs etc, which were provided immediately upon request. We had room only so cannot comment on the breakfast or meals in general. It is a big old fashioned hotel which from our one night there caters mainly for pensioners on holiday. It offers evening entertainment and bingo.

The hotel is not our style and not somewhere we would normally chose to stay. If we had to find something to criticise it was that the room was made up for one person and we had booked for two but as mentioned above, when we asked for extra towels and mug they were provided straight away.

OMG the house was beautiful, clean, had everything you'd need and more, extremely comfortable and cosy. Hayley & Rory were the most down to earth hosts; helpful, welcoming, friendly but left us to our own devices but offered a cheery smile and chat when we saw them Their dog was so friendly and made us feel right at home too Loved it Highly recommend Will definitely stay again!!!

A good place to stay, easy to get into the City Centre on foot or by bus. The room was very comfortable and had a conservatory which gave even more space. Parking was ideal in a city that doesn’t offer too much parking for visitors.

Nice large room, great sea view. Big bathroom. Some of the staff were friendly. This is a budget Brittania hotel, despite it's appearance and I think most seasoned travellers have a Britannia story

No sockets near the beds. No room refresh during staff, although we did get one in the end. Apparently you have to go to reception and ask for towels and toilet roll but there was no sign to say this. No mention that there would be very loud music from the bandstand opposite nearly every night. Room windows were old and rotting compounding the noise problem. The lift broke down for 3 days and there were no signs on each floor to say this.we were told to use the staff lift and then some rude member of staff stuck a sign on the door saying staff only. The next day we were told the water was going off 10:00 till 16:00

Nothing. I am not the one to complain, but experience was terrible. Only good things were check in,the staff was welcoming and view from (half) window at landing planes.

Holes in bedding, paper trays under glasses in bathroom old and wrinkled (who knows when changed?), cups with stains outside the rim (who knows of even washed?), dirty sink, strange locked doors in the room leading to other room?, no slippers, not even a toilet brush, no fridge. Tried calling the staff but no signal, so just left early in the morning. Also wrote to them complaining - no answer. Ah! And the bar… serves coffee in broken cups and looks at you confused if you ask to clean the table with water rings on it if dirty tables are just acceptible. Just terrible.

Location was good and only a few minutes walk to the tube. Tea and coffee in the room.

Mould around the window. Taps in the bathroom were very stiff and wife was unable to turn the taps off. Fire alarm went off quite early in the morning and staff were unable to resolve the issue in a timely manner. No life and lots of stairs to carry heavy suitcases.

We requested to get our keys early and to not enter the room just so that we could head to a restaurant that we had booked, not helpful at all and still had to collect at 3pm.
