Very pleasant surroundings, quiet and efficient staff. Our room was bright, clean, comfortable, and the heating efficient; always hot water on tap. We had breakfast in the cafe. The eggs and smoked salmon on a muffin were delicious, also the pancakes -the staff were obliging when we asked if they could vary the fillings. large pot of tea😊

Nothing to dislike apart from the toast in the cafe; tough, bland bread. Everything else we ate or drank there was wonderful.

The hosts were very helpful when I got lost finding the Lodge. Very welcoming when I arrived and prior to my arrival they had removed the scented reeds as I have severe allergies and fragrance issues.

I didn't like that the password didn't access the WiFi but because I was there only the one night I eventually did without the access. Didn't ask hosts or mention that I couldn't log on. I had hoped to have walked into Keswick but was just a little too far out for me.

The breakfast was delicious, there was plenty of choice, very well cooked and presented. Our room was amazing, comfy bed and very clean.

Cosy rooms and comfortable beds, garden was also a great space to relax in the evenings. Kitchen was well equipped which is uncommon.

To be honest, I was disappointed with this trip. While it was easy to reach the city center, the location wasn't pleasant, being close to the motorway. The view wasn't appealing either. The room was clean, but the building itself seemed very old and hasn't been decorated for many years. Additionally, there was no soundproofing, which made it hard to relax.

Was only given 2 small towels for 2 night stay for 2 adults, requested fresh next day as these towels also had to be used as bath mat because floor was slippery after shower was told only untitled to fresh ones every 3 days.

The place was a mess, dirty and smelly! The worst place I’ve ever seen! Horrible disgusting and repulsive!!!! Defo would not recommend it ! Even the towels were left in the shower from the previous occupant, which means it wasn’t cleaned at all! Horrible condition!
