The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Located close to the River Severn which runs along the bottom of the beer garden and approx three miles from the centre of Shrewsbury. The room was well equiped and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were freshly cooked and there was a good choice available. A wide menu of evening meals available. The staff were very efficient and friendly.

We didn’t actually get to stay in property. Contacted owner on the day of stay to check everything ok and pay £1500 damage deposit. When arrived later that day was told property not available and moved somewhere else which defeated the purpose of our stay
Negative section of review
Was not what we booked, the owner did not respond to any of our calls and has not refunded £1500 deposit despite this being over 2 weeks ago

The location was perfect to the city center, views, the sea. The staff was friendly and tried to help us in all questions. We had the early check in without extra payment (with a baby was very suitable).

Didn’t find a fridge in the rooms. The baby cot I asked was dirty and staff didn’t bring the bedding for it. The water pressure in the bath was extremely low on the 3d floor, and I was waiting some mins for warm water in the shower. The floor creaked and seemed that carpet was a bit dirty. The breakfast was normal, however the hot beverages were limited.

Absolutely immaculate and staff very friendly. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and my husband’s dietary requirements of gluten free were met without any problems.

The room was quite small but absolutely adequate.

Well, the staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful. Free car parking ( though limited spaces available ) Ok as a town boozer with reasonable outddor space in the sun

Sadly, the pub is not suited for overnight accomodation. Very tiny room ( we had to take it in turns to move aroind ). Very basic facilities, inadequate bathroom ( though shower was reasonable ).

We chose this hotel because it had an EV charging point . We found the holiday inn good and great value for money
Positive section of review
The hotel is an art deco landmark and has been sensitively updated after it fell into dereliction.

What a shame to see that the heart of The Midland Hotel has been ripped out to save money! Let's hope it's temporary and they soon reinstate the 40's music, a proper reception (or rip it out and have more seating), crisp white table clothes and staff in long aprons who are actually allowed to take your order and serve fabulous local food. Still the bones are there and the company we were with made up for the 'Sarsons' on the table 😂

Excellent cosy room. Incredible price for the quality.

Location was great for old trafford events.
Negative section of review
Communal areas and entrance were disgusting and unappealing, no curtains on windows only cheap blinds so if sleeping on sofa bed its completely light by 5am. Dirty sheets already on sofa bed. Inside the room all walls were heavily marked making room look grubby and with cost of room a lick of paint wouldn't go a miss. Videos available
