The bad reviews for this place on booking.com and google are a bit over the top. For the price and the location this is a pretty good place to stay. The pictures are pretty misleading and I think they could probably just do with changing the 'luxury/dream' apartment tagline to 'basic/budget/party' to better manage guest expectations. We were a group of 4 and booked for one night in a 3 bed apartment, it was absolutely fine for what we needed it for (a place to sleep for the night in the centre of Newcastle). We found the staff friendly and the check in was straightforward, even though reception closed at 6pm on a Sunday they rang us and took the deposit over the phone and then left the keys in a lockbox for us.

General run down state, lots of marks and stains on the walls and carpets. The rooms were fine with a bit of airing but you can tell it is a bit of a party place to stay (most the rooms had a bit of a stale smoke smell on arrival). Saying that for £33 per private double bedroom in Newcastle city centre on a bank holiday weekend I can live with that!

Great location, host left us balloons for our birthdays, the accommodation we stayed in was tired and a little small. As we were travelling with another couple we were in separate buildings, would of appreciated being next to each other as the rooms were better in the joint building

This is a great local pub that the locals make you feel welcome. I would really advise people to go for the curry night, food was excellent.

The property was not clean. There were used sanitary towels in the bathroom bin as it had not been emptied. The kitchen cupboards were disgusting with potatoes growing roots in them. The cooker only worked with 1 pan, the blinds were ineffective and bathroom tiles dirty. Most of the crockery was also unclean. The list goes on.

There was no ventilation in the corridors and rooms, was too stuffy 🤧. The breakfast was with very poor quality products. Both receptionists were not very polite and helpful, the room's door was broken and not fixed or given another room, the two rooms booked together were not close to each other.
