Well appointed location for us to visit family in a quiet setting. Our room was very comfortable, beautifully decorated and dressed to a high standard. The bed and sumptuous pillows ensured a great sleep. Spacious bathroom with bath & shower again with high spec fixtures and fittings. All the staff especially Pauline at breakfast were so friendly and accommodating to our needs. Restaurant food is of a high quality with plenty of choices.

The Z hotel Victoria is ideally located - right opposite the train station. The staff are really helpful and cheery, the breakfast was just whats needed to start a busy day sightseeing Room was small as stated clearly on booking, but has everything you need. We had a window so the room was airy and bright. Yes we heard a distant rumble from the underground but that was OK too - and we had no issue with sleep.

A really nice welcome on arrival. Lovely breakfast. (You are asked to provide your breakfast order the evening before). This is an old pub in a small village :)

There are four rooms. Two have en-suite and two rooms share a bathroom. I was a room that shared the bathroom. It's not that I didn't like it, it's just not ideal. Bathroom vey clean and spacious and close to the room. So really, no complaints, just pointing it out in the review for others.

Breakfast and other meals were very good (especially the sticky toffee pudding!) and the pub had Black Sheep draught beer, a favourite.

The lighting in the room was rather poor. Ground level facing the car park meant keeping the curtain closed most of the time. The hot tap in the bath was running all the time.

The area is fine but the block itself has the feel of social housing though felt safe enough. Shower room could do with an upgrade. Bed was a small double.

Had to leave at 06.30 so was only offered a take away continental type brekfast. The brekfast bag wasn't great for the price and not being able to have a cooked brekfast was a big disappointment, So much that I wouldn't use the hotel again if I had to be up early again and miss a cooked breakfast.

We didn't get into the property as no one came to let us in. After phone call the next day we managed to get back money.
