The chalet was very clean, comfortable, and in a peaceful location. Our hosts went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome, Mandy and David were truly wonderful. They even provided snacks and a bottle of milk in the fridge (hubby was gasping for a cuppa lol ), so we could refuel before unpacking the car after our journey.

Nothing really, the rooms are what they are. If you want a 5 star modern hotel then this is not the place but if you want the genuine Blackpool experience with an excellent host then it is.

There was only one bathroom with one toilet which had plumbing issues. The owners were very responsive and apologetic. The plumbing wasn’t fixed before we left.

Signage not good as to where to check-in. There was a wedding breakfast taking place when we arrived so walked in on that. Eventually found a bar tender to checked us in. Tiny room/bathroom which was fine for the one night. However, the plug for the supplied hairdryer was through the dressing table drawers, into the socket, but only one double socket under the dressing table which meant removing either the TV or kettle plug to use the hair dryer. The lead was also so short you had to crouch to use! Emergency light had Elastoplast holding the casing on, there was large cobwebs in the bedroom, a full roll of toilet paper left under the bed, stained pillowcase and grubby bathroom. Worst of all, we chose venue as we needed wifi, and although a guest password supplied and you could use in the bar or outside, the connection did not reach to our room. Although the bar tender assured us it did when checking on the password. Unfortunately, the room next door was having domestic problems and a great deal of shouting/swearing took place (I assume not the motels problem, though).
