Positive section of review
We had a lovely welcome and chat with Ben and made us feel right at home. The room was well equipped with a fridge and kettle. It was in a great location Central to everything. The breakfast was nice and the staff all made you feel at ease and welcomed. I liked that we were able to leave our luggage off and come back for again after check out. Great WiFi throughout. The room was clean and tidy as was the entire building. Great location for a short stay.

It should state on the website that the owner prefers cash over card for payment. I thought the room was slightly cold even when the heaters were turned up high. I think the breakfast should have more of a selection and also include baked beans. The meats were very limited as was the toast. More offerings of food and a fresh pot of tea or coffee would be nice. Maybe slightly bigger televisions as well.

Staff was very friendly. Guy that mowed the lawn could smile to make people staying there feel comfortable. I said hello seemed quite dismissive. However the lady that came to get me was so lovely despite me waiting in my car as just oversight to give me main door code. Room was clean , had tea and coffee. The room was clean had everything and shower was a delight.

Quaint old world hotel. Loved the cast iron radiators. The ball room the dining room a really nice place to stay. I don’t understand why anyone wouldn’t like this hotel yes it has some unique quirks but it made it so charming and lovely

It was secluded with beautiful views. Clean and comfortable pod. The hot tub was great, easy to use, and facing the lovely views below. Host was quick to reply with my questions. Looking forward to going back.

There was no wifi in our room and not enough signal to use data so no internet access at all. The shower was blocked meaning that the tray rapidly filled with several inches of water and took a long time to drain away.
