It was lovely and peaceful.Gary was great. Nothing was too much trouble .The owls and kestrels were well kept and looked after. The hot tub was amazing. Spotless and very well presented everything you need was there. We had a fantastic time. We went as my partner was 50, and Gary even decorated it with banners and balloons .Absolutely amazing place. Recommend to anyone who just wants peace and quiet away from technology .Does have WiFi but intermittent, which was a blessing, especially if you are just wanting time for yourselves.

Lovely little cottage in quiet location, perfect for getting away from it all. Great views! We loved the conservatory for some quiet reading. We only stayed one night, but the well equipped kitchenette would suit self-catering for a week. Loved all the little touches - milk in the fridge was a boon, as the shops are all a drive away.

Great location, clean inside. Nice facilities - fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine etc.

Dog poo right outside door, did inform on arrival but nothing done about it. Bed downstairs very very uncomfortable, would say this property is not suitable for more than 4 people if they had a better sofa bed. All kitchen items were for 4 people, so 1 person short. Parking very tight for larger cats and at additional cost.

Where to begin! This is by far the worse place I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in some pretty dire Hostels in my time! It was absolutely filthy dirty, that room had not been cleaned for weeks. I have done housekeeping and you are not telling me that had been done that day. Dust, cobwebs etc do not accumulate like that over night, at one point I clapped my hands to shoo away a fly by the table light and a cloud of dust flew into the air, my daughter and I looked at each other astonished. The shower was filthy dirty and black with mould, a very rusty radiator and toilet roll holder which was only fit for a skip. Hairs and dust all over the floor., especially in the corners and under the sink. Neither myself or my daughter wanted to step foot in there. We cleaned our teeth with bottled water as we didn't want to use the sink. I didn't dare look under the bed and my daughter found lots of hairs in her bed. I can get by with the dated decor and old furniture, but the filthy dirty room is unacceptable. The guy on the desk pounded on the door and scared the life out of us, and had come to ask for £10 for parking and I explained that I had emailed them prior to our visit and was told there would not be a charge for parking as we were going the next morning, he said that wouldn't have happened everyone has to pay. He then offered to clean the room himself but as it was 10pm I said don't bother as it would take more than a quick 5mins to clean that mess and we were tired. He then said he would waive the £10 if I didn't leave a bad review. I'm sorry but I can not, NOT leave a review as its not fair on the next poor souls that may stay in that room! The front door had one small key lock and didn't feel very secure and there was a 2nd door the other end of the room which also wasn't very secure looking, so I felt the need to lean a couple of chairs against them for our own peace of mind.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like, just couldn’t find cleaning products to help clean before we left and my sister spilt coffee on the table runner which we couldn’t clean up and we didn’t have time to run and buy cleaning products. Everything else was great!
