Tucked in an excellent location next to Waverly Station, Market Street Hotel offers modern lodging with spectacular views of Calton Hill and the Scott Monumnet, in easy reach of the Royal Mile. Extremely comfortable beds (great pillows), well-appointed, and comfortable, our room was lovely. The shower had excellent water pressure.

The room was a touch small, and, were we staying more than 2 nights, we would have started to feel that. Even taking the location into account, it's not a cheap stay.

Location was great, so much space for the money paid! Judy was super accommodating, letting us check in early and later check out if we wanted! We really didn’t get full use of the accommodation as we were on the island for a wedding. Would defo like to go back for a longer maybe 4 day weekend! 😊

Wonderful location, very easy access to the Royal Albert Hall - right across the road from museums Superbly decorated rooms, good sizes, clean and comfortable Superb value - beats any of the hotels we could find

Reception staff were friendly and professional (accepting that because of two major problems which could not be resolved, the standard of stay was not satisfactory and a full 100% refund was justified).

Unresponsive to complaints - when Booking.com discussed the issue with the hotel, a refund only 34% was offered, and despite me mailing and calling to discuss why, absolutely no reply or explanation was provided by the hotel.

The location is extremely close to the town itself. Room was immaculate, and lovely design. Plus no problem with parking as they've got their own parking facilities. I would definitely go again :)

Love the location, just the outskirts of Scotland. The cottage is really spacious and inviting. Also loved the way the cottage is connected to the wedding venue and shops.

Evening meal was rather good. My wife has dietary problems and the kitchen staff were able to accomadate.

One little niggle - the room window could not be opened. Fresh air would have been nice, although a large fan was in the room.
