The finish and furnishings are of a very high quality. The cottage is a good size and well laid out. The setting, in a forest with mountain views is incredible! The owners are helpful and friendly but not intrusive. The wildlife in the garden is such a treat, especially seeing red squirrels! The location is good for sightseeing, with many places to visit.

There was nothing we didn’t like. It would just have been nice to have a little more room/comfy seating in the tv area.

Good range of food available at breakfast. Only a limited range of meals available in restaurant in evening but two meals I had were of high quality. Bit of a walk into centre of Oban which was farther than expected

The accommodation was not a hotel It is a very noisy pub with rooms . The room I was given was over the back of the pub where the terrace for outside drinking took place. It was extremely noisy and the most foul language I have ever heard. The windows were very high and stiff to close I asked if someone could please close them for me but no one appeared, they were too busy serving the rowdy customers.I had to take my dog out as he was distressed with the noise and I was . I actually sat in my car for a while away from the place. When I got back the noise was even worse. I contacted OYO and the lady I spoke to thought someone was fighting,as the screaming and bad language was shocking ,she tried contacting the manager but got no reply . She gave me the number to ring so I eventually got through to the owner ,I told him about my concerns and his reply was ," it's a pub what do you expect, you will just have to put up with it" I asked to move to another room and he said no . I mentioned the terrible language and his reply was ,that's how we talk round here it's a mining village . No excuse I'm afraid . I rang OYO again and told them I could not stay ,being a lone female I felt very uncomfortable so decided to check out. O Y O rep told me they would sort out a refund but I still haven't heard from them . This break was the first break on my own since my partner was put in a Dementia home and it has not been a pleasant experience at all.
