Fabulous location and great to have a parking space. Level walk into New Quay too. View from the house was great for sun rises and dolphin spotting, as was the outside viewing area if the weather suited. Great place for a beer. Glad we booked the cottage for the location. Host checked in on us by text, which was nice. We were blessed with the weather, so were out most of the time. If you are a walker, this place will suit you just fine, as long as the weather doesn't close in - a few books or jigsaws would be good. If I hadn't found myself recently 'disabled' then I'd book this place again. It does what it says on the tin - it is cheap, cheerful and basic but a little bit magic too. Two evenings we followed the dolphins past the house and into the harbour, where we sat and watched them for an hour or so.

Don't be put off by the following, it is meant to be constructive. You can have a great stay here. I have mobility issues, the stairs were a problem and the steps to the viewing area too. These were not flagged up on the description and it might help others if there were photos of the arrangement. My mobility issues are a new thing, so perhaps I should have asked more - a learning point for me. Never thought I'd be in this situation. Wifi was poor, TV reception was poor, I'm sure both could be improved easily, but you can't watch anything on catch up if someone is on their mobile and if someone is standing in the wrong place by the window, you lose the TV signal. You wouldn't be able to work from here (well why would you want to)? Take EVERYTHING with you, toilet rolls, soap, washing up liquid, scourer, kitchen roll, cling film, foil, kitchen towel, books, entertainment. If you think you will need it, then take it! There are no books, jigsaws etc and having somewhere to hang damp coats would be an instant and cheap improvement (I'd go for coat hooks over the shoe rack). Still not a deal breaker for me though. No info about where to put the rubbish or recycling either, the recycling people called on Sat AM. They don't take glass, so take that back home with you. Card, plastic, metal etc can all be mixed in one bag. Ceridigian still hand sort. We booked a budget cottage, we got what we paid for and had a lovely time so I don't want this to come across as negative, hoping it is useful feedback. The accommodation is basic but it is fine if you are out all day. If you want cheap and cheerful, then this will suit you and it is good to find that option. If I was fit, then I'd book this place again, knowing what I now know. Lovely of the host to check in that we were OK. We really did have a fabulous break in New Quay and saw so many dolphins!

The apartment was large and two levels. The rooms were spacious, bright and comfortable. Having two bathrooms was great as it meant no waiting to shower. The location was perfect for our group and close to town centre and the Spa. Large spacious kitchen with all you need for a self catering holiday. The cost was reasonable for such a large comfortable apartment. Would definitely stay again.

Great location next to supermarkets and restaurants and short travel to nearby events that we attended, facilities were nice and considered, everything you could need for a short stay, iron, toothpaste, teabags, coffee maker etc, cute little working nook with desk. The outdoor seating given nice weather was lovely.

It needs some love, some broken glass bedside cabinets (taped up), missing plug from one side lamp so the lighting was messed up, very old furniture etc, no water pressure in kitchen sink, lack of decoration in the bedroom, some artwork on the walls would make the room more attractive, as it lacked anything on the walls, portable mirror or standing mirror in bedroom would be handy, lampshade in the bedroom would also help the aesthetic, the hammock pictures in the photos was not hung up which was misleading and disappointing, some garden candle holders were smashed which was a choice not to replace.

Location was great particularly for me. My head office is in Fulham, about 15 minutes away on foot. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe. It’s also really close to the Thames, so you can take lovely walks along the river.

There was a slight miscommunication regarding the keys but the owner was able to settle this very efficiently, despite it being a bank holiday!
