destination reviews from real travellers

How does it work?

  • 1

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

  • 2

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

  • And finally, a review

    And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

  • Paramount Hotel Midtown

    - “Everything was perfect: the hotel, the facilities, the staff, the amenities, etc. When we arrived, they made us a free upgrade to our room offering a suite. The room was amazing, large and comfortable spaces, with view in Burj Kalifa. The room was very clean and smelled so fresh and nice. Qasam (the cleaning staff) was excellent and went overboard to his cleaning abilities in order to offer a great experience, while he showed kindness, respect and willingness to help us in everything that we wanted. All the personnel in the hotel were absolutely professionals. A very modern hotel, with a big variety in the breakfast and with all the amenities that someone would need when travelling abroad. Highly recommended and for sure we will come back again if we visit Dubai again. Thank you for this unique experience!”

  • Liberty One

    - “The price the view of the city skyline from my 18th floor. Everything is modern, clean and no central heating to suffocate you. Just a heat pump in your room and fresh air on the balcony which is fully accessible”

    - “Excellent location, Cameron the real deal, friendly, helpfull. Beautiful clean room, felt like a cabin as apposed to a motel room. Everything so close you can walk to get what you need. Loved Anne of Green Gable only few minutes away. BBQ on deck and so relaxing. I would recommend to anyone. You cannot go wrong and can explore so much of island from this beautiful location along with a 10 out of 10 accommodations. Enjoy PEI, we sure did and mainly because we stayed at this location.”

It was clean, comfortable and we liked the fact there was milk and the chocolate was a nice touch. Also there was tea, coffee and sugar. It was near some towns (15 mins closest one). We could get to Newquay in Cornwall in over an hour. The washing machine and dishwasher were great additions and I liked the fact we had all the cleaning amenities we needed there so saved us bringing them. Bed was comfy with plenty of pillows and plenty of warderobe space. In the bathroom, there were plenty of towels, toilet rolls and soaps. The bath was nice and spacious and shower was good. . Garden was lovely and the dog did like it as it had plenty to sniff and was enclosed so wasn't worried he would disappear. Parking was good and close as well.

    • Negative section of review

The steps to the garden were a struggle for my short legged basset to keep going up and down. Need to take a photo so people realise how steep they are. Also there are foxgloves in the garden which are highly dangerous for dogs, so it was a bit of a worry letting the dog roam there. Instead of the chocolate, maybe a half loaf and butter would be better as we had to go out after a long journey for these. The living room lights are not v. Bright so hard if reading or crafting in the evenings on the eyes. The rack hanging on the bathroom door was a pain as it was hard to shut the toilet door. I ended up taking it off. Maybe pop one on the wall or have one screwed to the back of the door? Also if you want a takeaway delivery you have no chance here as no one delivers. The local amenities were not amazing as the local shop seemed to always be shut when we went in the evenings and the coop is v. Small, and the chip shop was absolutely terrible. The local pub does not serve food either. Make sure if you do choose this place you stock up. Beware of the oven as well as the beeping on it is highly annoying as it is constant, needs to be sorted. The fridge also was freezing stuff, so may need to be turned up a little in temperature. It was not quiet and certainly not semi detached as described in the advert. It was a row of terrace type houses. We could hear the traffic and there was a lot of traffic going past on the road especially in the evenings and very early mornings (I was up at 5.30am and there were cars and lorries going past then). I know my husband woke up quite a bit due to this. Internet signal is also non existent in the area. We did have WiFi at the house but I did struggle in the evenings. Could possibly do with a TV in the bedroom? Also no info about the bins and these were full when we got there.

Good location, value for money, nice clean room with good sized bed and even though bathroom was shared and in the corridor, it was hardly ever busy and very close by. Food in the breakfast restaurant was excellent and such a big selection, was able to start my day with a good meal! Will definitely recommend this to my friends and also come again myself if ever visiting the city again!

Walls aren’t very thick so if you are light sleeper and you end up with some noisy neighbors, this might become a problem. Otherwise no complaints at all!

Beautiful hotel in the process of being fully renovated. A little dilapidated in places but has bags of charm. Breakfast was lovely, and the staff both day and night were so friendly yet professional and helpful. They found me a room for an extra night at short notice. If done right, this hotel has the potential to be brilliant.

A bit dusty in the 2 rooms I stayed in ( dust webs), maybe a little more attention to detail and a better finish, and a non-slip bath/shower mat in each room. Trying to have ultra modern rooms in a listed building doesn't quite work. Had 2 great nights sleep in one room, but not in the second, mattress seriously in need of replacing! But then the hotel is a renovation in progress.....

On arrival we couldn’t access the car park - road blocked by a large group of young kids celebrating their prom! No I one mentioned this event when we booked. We were then woken at 5am by groups of rowdy guests running up and down the corridors (wedding guests apparently). The noise continued until 7am when we couldn’t stand it any longer and so we got up and waited for breakfast to be served. Other than that - the hotel and its staff were pleasant.

      food and breakfast very good.

Room was not made up as twin as you confirmed. No power in your room when you are not there not good for cool box being as you don't provide a fridge. (not comparable with your competitors). Large area of plaster falling of the wall in Gents by reception and place could do with a new paint brush in places.
