Te receptionist person was very polite, approachable with a great manner of communication. He was very apologetic about the odour on entrance. When commenting on the disgusting odour. He immediately changed our room. He was very accommodating with getting coffee/tea facilities that weren't available in the room. The room was very clean and fresh. Heating was easy to use. Bed was, I thought, was too soft. But then I slept so feel as moulded into the mattress. Would stay again. The modernisation is looking great and will be a nice comfortable hotel. You can see the hard work already gone into the hotel.

On arriving, there was an odour of sewage on the first floor where we were supposed to be allocated. However, the room was changed to the next level of the hotel floor.

What a beautiful stay we had at Low Fell! A friend and I went to stay for a weekend for a restful time, and that it was! Peter and Julianne (the hosts) were so lovely, attentive and brilliant at what they do. The room was gorgeous, as was the bathroom and the communal spaces (living room and garden) were so lovely too. We were made to feel very welcome, it really felt like a home away from home! We’ll be back and will recommend to all our friends.

Location..close to castle and shopping, The Thames, Eton etc. don’t be put off from the look of the street and location behind and beneath the railway. It is safe and handy as said.Nice kitchen with appliances and washer/dryer. Furnishing very good quality and tasteful. Lots of thought and feeling put into it. Three bathrooms but only one with a shower. Fun balcony.

It is quite a quaint flat. Drawback being that all bedrooms are upstairs with access via spiral, metal staircase. Great for young folks who want something cool but definetly not for seniors or persons with mobility issues. Only one shower , and that on ground floor .

The staff were great. Sandwiches wonderful. Gardens beautiful. The room was certainly cozy. Shower room very small and a squeeze to use the toilet! The evening bar meal was disappointing. Very small portions. Caesar salad was lettuce and a dressing! Dessert was good.

Lack of signage. Difficult to find the reception given the extent of land and access around this hotel. Lack of information regarding the separate area/ lodge. Parking immediately in front of rooms. No privacy unless curtains were drawn rendering the room without daylight. The ground floor room window faced onto the parking area resembling a motel. No covered access to the main part of the hotel. Tired decor and bathroom furnishings. A slippery bath tub with telephone style shower head and cheap plastic curtain.
