first of all ,I m not the one to complain as some others did before , I knew what to expect and all I was interested in was an affordable acommodation that is close to the O2 Leicester the room is quite spacious , it has a sink , 2 chairs and the bed which is really very comfy nothing spectacular, basic but clean which is so important. The toilets and showers were clean and I didn t have a single encounter with anyone during the time I was there , even though the place was quite full, You get offered toiletries and a towel at the check in, I d definitely stay there again if I m on my own , basically everyone needs a place (clean place ) to crash after a night out ,event etc. one more thing : visits are not allowed, just in case.... if you re looking for something fancier just go somewhere else :)

nothing to add, really ; the atmosphere may seem dull, but maybe it was the weather :)

The location of the property is excellent - right opposite Earls Court Station which is a perfect station as a traveller as has easy access to Heathrow and also has lift access to all platforms. Despite being in such a busy location the rooms are quiet and extremely comfortable. I absolutely loved the fact that the theme of blackbirds is consistent throughout the hotel - with my room having pictures of blackbirds and even a blackbird tile in the shower. The attention to detail in the room decoration is amazing. Love that each room is given a name rather than a number. A great breakfast is included and it starts early which is convenient whether you are travelling for work or leisure.

I arrived earlier than check in, and the lovely receptionist allowed me to use the room. She also encouraged help with my heavy bags after my journey from London, and walking from the station. I couldn't figure out the heater, so a young member of the team came to help.

In short, the whole place needs an upgrade. Word around town is that it was previously family owned, and since sold, has gone down hill. There is clear promise with the property, but the low upkeep and clear need for updating takes away from it all. Despite decent pictures online, the room was clearly a single that they put a double bed in. Really disappointing. I could hardly move around the bed comfortably. The view from the room wasn't great, and tons of pigeons were cooing at my window from early morning. There was no phone in the room so I had to do down stairs to find an alternative solution to contact the helpdesk. The receptionist who met me was cordial and lovely, but a pain to have to come all the way to reception for a number to call. The furniture and remote was dirty and once wiped, was shocked to see the dirt. Made me feel uneasy immediately given my sensitive skin, and this left me feeling uneasy the rest of the stay despite the bed looking clean. The shower was small and the water pressure was a drizzle, which almost made me not want to shower. Luckily I had another option with family halfway through my stay, so stayed with them instead. I wouldn't be staying again sadly.

Staying here was perfect for walking to Albert’s Dock, waterfront attractions, shopping and restaurants. We rode the train in to James Street Station which is literally across the street from the hotel. Wonderful location and very comfortable stay for our family!

Beautiful location, clean, comfortable, very peaceful and a tranquil place to stay. Loved the views and seeing the sheep walking up and down the road.

Matteesses were too soft for me. One of the bedroom doors does not close and hits the wardrobe .Sliding doors might've worked better Hanging light in living room on ttop of the tables is not placed well, bumped my head about 8 times.. Cleaner knocked on door twice on checkout day at 9 am to tell us that she needed to clean apt, eventually owner sorted, but it was a nuisance. Take this as constructive criticism..

check in process and the allocation of the room after waiting 3hrs so that I would get the room I booked and paid. The waiting was not such an issue as I understand the reason but my experience once i went to the room (2n floor corner) was unbelievably disappointing. As an ex-hotelier, I knew how to rectify the situation which it took some time and I did. The frustration though was very high (I can outline more details but will not as I do not want to expose the employees). Furthermore, out of 4 elevators only 2 were working and the other 2 are under maintenance or renewal.

Location is great, but a little hard to find

The female receptionist was very unfriendly, unhelpful and hostile. I had no help from her to find my room. It was the cleaning staff who tried VERY HARD to help me when I was lost and couldn't find my room. The female receptionist seemed bored and like she couldn't be bothered. Very unwelcoming. I know it's a budget hotel, but you need to train your reception staff in good customer service.
