Easy to find and I was lucky enough to get a park on the premises which made it very easy and I travel with a very large bag, which Darren helped me with up the stairs. He was super welcoming, great to chat to and very friendly and was the highlight of my stay. Coming a close second was the incredible bathroom! I had no intention of having a bath but with that gorgeous bathtub and bubble bath on offer, I just couldn't resist. The bed was comfy and while there was some road noise initially, it quietened down during the evening and I had a great sleep. Breakfast was also incredible!

What did I like? I liked the new booking I immediately made at ***BLACKPOOL MERCY INN HOTEL*** Very warm welcome. Wonderful helpful staff. Clean accommodation, perfect family room with our own clean bathroom & linen scent. A kettle I wasn’t afraid to plug in. Most appreciative for the feeling I felt seeing my children happy, smiling and in a safe clean environment. Added unexpected bonus, TV in our room and Wiifii worked in the room too. I opened the door & was hit with an awful smell, became clear very fast,this room was full of health&safety concerns & my children were told not to enter the room.Hand written note on the bathroom door”currently there experiencing maintenance issue so use shower at room2”other side of the hotel. So x5 room's with a capacity level x22+ are sharing or have shared 1 vile mould filled shower & 1 vile toilet with NO ON SITE CLEANING TEAM! This is not hygienic & absolutely unacceptable. Due to maintenance issues” 🤢. The following issues were present on arrival: - Mould on the windows. - Mould in the sink and all round the sink rim. - Broken window handle (window doesn't close properly). - Human feces stained on the walls(stunk so bad) - Dirty Stained bedcovers(wasn’t gonna try and find out what the stains were) - Musty mould smell within the room & hallway/stairs. - Numerous holes in the walls. - Paint pealing off all the doors & window area in the room. - Broken kettle large crack. - Broken shower (sign stating use another located the other side of the building). - Mould in that other shower. - Stains on the carpet in the room. - Large stains on the hallway carpet especially outside the referral shower door. - Draws had no bottom panels to hold clothes so broken. - Disgusting large chips all over the beside tables. All this was found in the 20 minutes I spent calling this not nice person to come & collect the key, we’re leaving, she finally answers & tells me to leave it in the hallway. This place isn’t fit for stray dogs and environmental health have been informed, needs inspecting & closing down immediately! How strange Customer services inform them my case has been escalated(20/06/24)i message&inform them Im leaving a review detailing my findings. Then a Review off ten appears on 23/06/24.

Quirky quiet room. Event though we were next to a busy road the soundproofing is impressive. Within a few minutes walking to several nearby bars.

Friendly helpful overworked staff, the food service and breakfasts were good and the evening food was fine, but the service slow.

The hotel is "tired" and in need of an upgrade. Our room was ok, but some things did not work (night light in bathroom, one of the two USB A sockets at the bedside). The beds were high and hard and the room servicing was not well organised.

Full English was bountiful. Bacon was too dry and chewy. Fried eggs were over cooked despite the fact that I specifically ordered runny yolks
