The room was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and a good size. There was a singer in the bar on the Friday night who we could hear from our room, however, the music stopped at around 11pm and then it was very quiet. We would expect that though from staying at a pub/inn so we weren’t bothered at all. The staff were lovely, especially the breakfast staff who were very cheerful and friendly which is nice to wake up to! The breakfast was amazing, I had the eggs Benedict and eggs florentine, both of which were cooked to perfection!

My wife and I (and our dog) just stayed one night en route from Hastings to Yorkshire. Our hosts made our short stay a positively memorable experience. Their two lovely rescue dogs (setters) were a bonus for us and for our own dog. Breakfast couldn’t have been better. This accommodation is nothing like a “Premier Inn”, instead it is a comfortable, cosy cottage that has charm and character run by hospitable and warm hearted hosts. My wife tells me that I made a very good choice in booking Mountain Ash and I would agree.

Room clean & comfortable, could do with somewhere to hang the towel near shower. In general was a very pleasant stay with some nice homely touches, i.e. daily cookies left in bedroom

Pillows were a little hard & high for our likes, but some like them like that. Stairs were quite steep for my wife, but manageable. Fridges were playing up in kitchen area unfortunately.

The location was great and close to many bars and restaurants. The styling was good and added to the experience. The studio was a good size and worked well for the 3 of us.

It was looking a bit tired and needed a freshen up. Cleaning the windows would help too. Was also disappointed we couldn’t get a breakfast from the the Brewdog pub next door.

Fully comprehend the basic facilities as it is a YHA but thought the price was taking the P Supply and Demand I suppose Plus ➕ Having paid £85 a night for a basic basic room asked to drop your bed linen and towels and drop off on leaving whats that about ?? !!
