The hotel was an ok price, it is after all a budget hotel. We were attending a gig at the Brudenell and it was close. Taxis were quick and helpful. Not far from the station and city. The room itself was spacious, fairly clean and adequate for one night. It had a fold out sofabed. It had a bit of hanging space and was quiet as we were over the carpark. No noise from other guests. The staff were friendly and helpful. The shower was ok, plenty of hot water and Dove products. Breakfast, despite being basic, had good selection, just the hot stuff wasn't up to standard.

We had problems with the window not closing in the first room, however the staff moved us but it took a while to find us a room. The hotel is on the busy road, so if on the front you'd likely need to keep your window closed, i can imagine it gets quite stuffy on a hot day. The breakfast wasn't up to scratch, the hot food was pretty awful, shivelled sausages and salty hard bacon, but there was cereal, fruit and pastries. The rooms were generally what you'd expect, but with loose fittings and everything was a bit 'tired'. The lighting only had one switch on one side of the bed. The air-condition, was awful, was old, dusty and very noisy, and didnt really do much. You have to pay for parking, be aware, if you have a car. Overall ok, but just needs some care.

Everything! The location is ideal, very close to the centre and also very quiet. The apartment is extremely well equipped, comfortable and spacious. Communication with the owners was excellent and instructions for accessing the property were very clear. We loved our stay.

The apartment was spacious, clean everything you needed for a fantastic stay, if I had a small critique it is about the parking, but I know it is the same all over Llandudno, but that aside we will definitely be going there again.

The location is very good, plenty of transport links, shops, restaurants and pubs close by, nice and quiet area. Kitchenette was good to have, kettle, toaster and microwave, lots of storage space.

Very little natural light as we were in the basement, electric lights had to be on all day when we were in. Bars on the window with a very large padlock the key of which is held in reception so no escape route should there have been a fire on or near the stairway, not even sure this is legal. I did raise this with reception but basically got a shrug. The laundry next to our room fire doors left open all the time, the inner door wedged open, photo 1, till I removed the wedge, outer door auto closer didn't work properly as the door stopper was stuck in the plaster of the wall, photo 2. Shower room is tiny, so small if sat on the toiler my knees touched the wall opposite, tiny wash basin without a plug, difficult to shave. One so called comfy chair which was passed its best and potentially had fleas in it. Outside the basement window seemed to be the dumping ground, old chair, old microwave, old radiator, gas bottle, paint tins, ladders, decking planks and further along an old mattress. Our bed mattress seemed old and not very comfortable with springs being felt when lying down. We had booked a large studio flat, hate to imagine what a small one was. Stays less that 7 days meant no cleaning/maid service. How this gets such a good rating is beyond me.

Breakfast was great. We did get over charged for 2 additional breakfasts, but it was resolved quickly. The bed was fantastic!!!

The property was located with an easy walk to the town centre, experiencing lovely views across the harbour.

The en-suite, whilst next to the bedroom, was accessed via the landing. There are dressing gowns available, but suggest to pack a nightie!

I have used booking.com in many occasions and it was the first time I was asked to provide so many personal information before completing a booking. On the day of my arrival a deposit of £250 got held from my account as compensation for any damages, which I found quite high. Although the booking fees, include a cleaning fee, no one attended the property in the 5 days I stayed there and I was advised to take the garbage out myself. The day after I left the property the deposit got released confirming that there were no damages. Two days afterwards my card got blocked while trying to pay a restaurant bill since I had gone over my overdraft. I accessed my account and saw that cliftonvalley apartments had held £500 from my account. I contacted the company querying about this unauthorised and illegal action. I was told that there was a problem with their system and £250 got released. But the remaining £250 continue to be held until today - almost a week after I left the property - regardless of raising this again with them. At this point, I plan to request legal advise and compensation about the unlawful use of my banking details.
