A fabulous apartment, lovely decor, plenty of storage space in the bedroom, a well equipped kitchen and lovely modern bathroom. But most importantly it was very comfortable and clean. I had a very friendly welcome from the owner who was extremely helpful with practical suggestions and places to eat/ things to do, and helped me carry my luggage up the stairs. It’s in an ideal location, 5 minutes walk from the train station and close to bus stops. Also a short walk to the promenade, pier and lots of fabulous shops, bars and places to eat. I would definitely stay here again.

This apartment is on the top floor so there were about 50 stairs to climb to get up there. This wasn’t a problem for me, (I need the exercise) but it’s something that a person with mobility difficulties would need to be aware of.

Warm and helpful host to welcome us. Beautiful home generously shared with guests. Breakfast was an extensive array of fresh foods to help oneself to. The location was scenic by the river and handy for local pubs serving food.

Rooms are terrible, old uncomfortable spring matresses, old thin bedding, old pillows. Feels like sleeping at your great nans house. Rooms are also mouldy, dusty, dirty and badly painted. Hot tub not available. Also the house has a family dog which is not mentioned in the description, dog hair everywhere. Very overpriced. Not pleased with what i paid at all.

Easy going with early checkin which helped a lot. Early breakfast was incredibly helpful with my needing to be at the airport for 6am.

Could do with better cleaning and details. But this is a old fashioned accommodation in the hosts real home, so perfection is not to be expected. No shower, just bath.

No parking when I arrived, and not answer to the help call button at the entrance to the car park. Nothing but defensiveness when I raised the issue with the reception staff member. It cost £24 to park for a night in a nearby, unsecured car park. In fairness two days later the reception guy told me he would take the parking charges for the nights I did get into the car park off the bill. On checking in, I got told that I had to let them know if I wanted my room serviced and I asked that it be serviced each day. It wasn't serviced on the first day and on the second day I asked again. The service in the restaurant was below my expectations. I ate there on the third night of my stay and I have no idea where they got the chicken for the salad but it was of very poor quality. I arrived at 5.30 pm and asked for a table, and didn't want to be seated where they were offering me a space, I asked if I could have a different table later, the guy told me to come back at 6. I did and joined a long queue, only to be offered another table that I didn't want. When I asked why a table hadn't been reserved for me, I was told "I didn't think we would be this busy." The coffee machines don't work particularly well and I was served a cup of muddy hot water on one occasion. I saw waiting staff busy chatting to each other whilst they ignored customers. I have no issue with the staff, I have an issue with Management, - it seems that these staff don't get training in customer service. I have stayed here three times and have never been satisfied, but prepared to give it another go. They just has their last chance.
