A really cosy cottage without being small. We could put the kids to bed upstairs and then comfortably stay up downstairs for a few hours. It was also very near everything. I think the property is advertised as 500m from the center of town? It felt more like half that instead of twice that which is the usual situation!

Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Clean room with new modern decoration. A little gift of keyring and sweets left in the room was really nice touch. Shower pressure was good! There was hair dryer and iron / ironing board in the room as well which can be very handy for longer stay.

A little far from the City if walking (not the fault of the hotel though).

The breakfast was excellent. We liked the freshly brewed coffee, brewed to our desired strength. The full Scottish was what we expected and the porridge was good, too. The wholemeal grainy bread for toast was nice.

Nothing significant.

Everything. It was clean, comfortable and everything we required and more! There’s a bus stop outside the apartment. We had no problems with parking at all even on a bank holiday weekend! We will defiantly return.

I would say the location as it was perfect for us coming back from Isle of Skye that evening. It was very easy to get there, with good parking space.

It was the most expensive hostel we stayed is during our road trip in Scotland, even more expensive than those we booked on Skye. At the Great Glen we booked a family room with private shower and was happy to reach there that evening, after a long tiring but amazing day. However we were very quickly disappointed: - Kitchen closes (locked) at 9pm, with no access to the microwave or kettle, not even the fridge. We reached there at 9:30pm and luckily exceptionally someone (staff) allowed us to quickly use the kitchen, since we had two young kids and needed to have dinner. - It was a tiny kitchen (5-6 sq meter) with extremely limited mugs (around 8 to 10), plates and cutleries. The fridge was also too small. In the morning for breakfast we need to queue to access the kitchen and wait for people to wash their used mugs, plates, ... Some people even started to get agitated just for mugs. We read on a notice board there that this hostel could accommodate 50 persons. By the way, we met with some super nice people (Scottish) during breakfast while queueing to access kitchen. Really confirmed the great mentality there. - Towels were supposed to be provided but when we get there, towel was on rent for 1.50£. Unfortunately we couldn’t rent neither as the reception was closed. - The bathroom in our room was not clean and quite old, with cob webs on the ceiling. Shower curtain really need to be replaced. - Central heater was turned off in the evening (at least in our room no1 it was not working) - We had to keep the heated towel rail in the bathroom turned on in order to warm the room. - We could hear noises from other room, even when someone was coughing we could hear it. In the morning, we were able to hear the noise from the people on the parking loading their vehicles. We are very easy going travelers but we had a very bad experience in this hostel, and would like to avoid other families facing the same. A few photos attached.
