The hotel is in a great, central location in Edinburgh. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and our room was equipped with everything we needed. Our favorite bit was that there was a clothes washing machine in our room - so great after several days of muddy hiking prior to our arrival in Edinburgh!

Activity in the hallway could be a little loud early in the morning, but it wasn't overly bothersome.

Breakfast was great. Lovely big bed. Great shower. Opposite bus stop, lots of buses to Exeter and Exmouth. Lovely walk to town along the river, but plenty of buses down if needed.

Public areas / bar area stylish. Small gym if needed with freeweights. Bed comfy. Friendly reception staff, very accommodating.

Lack of a desk / dressing table despite the room having plenty of space, not ideal for business travel. No access to fresh air in rooms (windows don't open). Restaurant food poor quality - worst curry I've ever eaten!

The location is a little difficult for non-drivers as it is on a road without pavements. It is also difficult to find when not driving using the directions given and google maps directs to the wrong location.

We paid for a sea view, but the windows were blown and as a result it was hard to enjoy the view from the room due to the condensation running between the double glazed panes. Such a shame.

Not cleaned. Pet smell lingering. Not even hand wash liquid the toilets. Dishwasher tablet compartment broke. Worst is can't get out of driveway as people infant of the property block by parking on the road.

Didn’t book but on evening arrival asked for a table in the restaurant and was told it would be 45 minutes which was fine. Sat having a drink at the table adjacent to the restaurant and no comings and goings. When seated found the restaurant was empty but for a few tables so why did we have to wait. Food was poor and expensive for what it was. Breakfast was poor and served on cold plates. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone and won’t be back
