  The Ropewalk Cottage was an amazing little gem of a find located in the beautiful coastal town of Portaferry. The hosts Brendan and Ann were so welcoming and perfect hosts that put us at ease from the moment we arrived. The complementary snacks and homemade butter was a nice touch that helped elevate this sweet, beautiful getaway cottage into one of our favourite stays. It is perfect for couples that want to explore the small coastal town of Portaferry and experience a quiet and quaint atmosphere. I will definitely be back

  Easy access from the A30 on arrival. The location was good for our visits to the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. The inside of the property was clean and furniture in good condition. The bed in the larger bedroom was very comfortable. Overall was adequate for our stay of two people.

  There were a few things that could have been better. The light above the sink in the bathroom was not working, there wasn't many glasses for drinks assume some had been broken previously and not replaced. Also there no oven gloves again assume there was at some point as shown in one of the pictures on the website. Overall lacked that touch that comes when an owner either lives on sight or nearby and visits frequently.

  The property was surprisingly very clean and definitely more modern than most of the Holiday Inn Express that I've previously stayed in before. It was very close to the airport with a couple minutes walk to the departures. Great for a short airport stay.

  Receptionist very pleasant and helpful. Room in good order, was quiet as requested and nice view. Hotel in good location.
