The room is not small, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom nice and modern. The possibility to use the shared kitchen is surely a plus. The position is great, close to Greenwich and well connected to the public transport network, while the area is overall tranquil at night (even though the structure may not be, see below). The self check-in procedure is not that difficult, I had some troubles to get in but it is probably because we arrived pretty late and we were tired for the trip.

An unattended structure is surely cheaper but it has its disadvantages, too. Our last night there, a new guest arrived in the room just above us, and decided to that 3 a.m. was a good time to put on some music at high volume. Hence, I spent a couple of hours of that night trying to sleep while the music was on and the newcomer was arguing with the (understandably) angry guest next door. I suppose this may happen if the owner is not there at night, and there is nobody who can deal with difficult guests.

Staff were helpful and friendly, especially the chef who does breakfast. Food was of a high standard and the bar and restaurant area was spacious and vibrant. Room was very comfortable and modern, very fresh and airy. Only downside was the cupboard door kept swinging open in the bedroom but other than have nothing to fault at all. Wouldn't hesitate to book again if working locally.

Stunning grounds and majestic and beautiful all around. Loved the fact you could go for a walk and Go Ape was right on site. I also lived the fact there was a very beautiful piano.... it would have been even better if i could have heard it being used. I also liked the breakfast a lot, which was splendid.

It was a little bit too expensive for us to try and stay on for another night, when we made enquiries about that possibility, although the overall 1 night was lovely. I noticed that the glass shelf in the bathroom was a bit tilted at an angle, and that it would have been extra special to have say, a little cake/ to accompany the selection of tea and coffee, as we travelled a long way. But I would love to come back. I actually didn't take as many photos as I wanted, as I was rather put off the signage saying how you had to get permission to take photos. It was a wedding anniversary treat, so that was a bit of shame to not really get the photos I was hoping for. There were so many things I would have loved to get pictures of!!

Location. Location location!! Friendly & helpful staff - The blonde lady at reception is an absolute asset. ( sorry forgot her name) as she wasn’t working the 2nd night for dinner and we felt the service didn’t run as smoothly or attentive.

This was great value for money especially as we had free parking as well. We didn't use the restaurant for breakfast as we were meeting family we would certainly stay here the next time we visit Bristol.
