Room was comfortable with a dual aspect, lovely part of the country. Jules (the owner) is a real gem - pardon the pun. She made us very welcome, nothing too much trouble, breakfasts made to order and very well cooked, a slice of cake would be waiting in our room after we had been out all day, we were treated like we were the only guests that mattered but I noticed she did that with the other guests too. It was better than any 5 star hotel I've stayed in.

The property’s location was very private, your own little corner of the garden. The views from the garden are amazing! The cottage is close to Hawkshead (few minutes drive, about half an hour by foot). Everything you need is inside the cottage and more! We felt very welcomed by the amazing basket of the nice owners. Thanks!

The size of the room, and the room was very clean. The staff were excellent and dog friendly which made the stay very enjoyable. We were also impressed with the choices for breakfast.

Noise, and size of room. Parts of room rather tired, especially carpet. External noise and internal noise from AC fan intrusive. Price of breakfast excessive and constant radio broadcast in bar quite irritating in evenings.

The room wasn't particularly clean. Quite cramped with the sofa up against the bed. Furniture in the room is dated. The bathroom had damage to the tiles, and the bath wasn't clean Very noisy. You could hear neighbours' conversations clearly.
