Lovely B&B in heart of Hawes with Free parking & a very tasty full English was enjoyed. The room was basic but spotless & had everything we needed. We got a fab price as booked last minute. We received a very warm welcome from Elliot whose customer service was excellent from carrying my case up to the room & being very attentive at breakfast. He recommended where we could go to eat/drink etc & was overall a lovely fella!

The location was quiet and not far from the west end of Glasgow. The location was also close to a footpath which accesses the river Kelvin, a lovely area, green and quiet. The property owner provided extensive information to access the property - areas of the description could have been a little clearer. Especially surrounding the access codes and keys.

The largest inaccuracy came from the actual room. In the description for the room - "This double room is air-conditioned and has a seating area, a wardrobe and a quiet street view." there is no street view. Originally the property would have been a maisonette with a double height kitchen/living area and a balcony with the 1st floor bedroom (the room advertised here). At some point, a timber wall has been erected on the balcony to block off from the kitchen/living area. There is a small frosted window in the centre of the wall which does not open. Therefore, the room does not have a street view or any fresh air. There was a keypad lock on the bedroom door, however, I would have felt safer had there been another level of security such as a chain or deadlock.

The food is good food, large restaurant. This is a great location to stay- near the sea The hotel has attentive staff, all clean and well organised.

We didn't want a full breakfast. Just toast and coffee.but where told that it was all one price of 12.50 .went to the philpottes del next door and got coffee and toast.
